About Me

What I do

I’m a graphic designer based in North Carolina. The work I create as a designer is rooted in my fine arts background. Several years of traditional arts training influenced me to choose a career where my work would reach a more diverse audience. The work I produce is carefully crafted to exceed not only your expectations, but the industry standard. The details in a design are crucial to the success of a piece. It allows you to take it from passable to exceptional. In a field where everyone is given the same tools and training, creativity and execution sets me apart from my peers.

Education and Career

After graduating high school with honors, I pursued my passion for the arts by enrolling at Cleveland Community College in 2017. I dedicated myself to my studies, and was a member of the dean’s list all four semesters. In 2019, I proudly graduated with an Associate's degree in Fine Art.

Building on this foundation, I continued my journey at Western Carolina University, where I immersed myself in the world of design. During my time at WCU, I focused on Graphic Design and worked tirelessly to develop both my technical skills and my creative abilities. In 2021, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design.

In my senior year of college, I had the incredible opportunity to intern with 828:design located in Asheville, NC. This internship was pivotal in my development as a designer. It allowed me to refine my craft while gaining invaluable real-world experience. I learned how to collaborate with clients, understand their needs, and deliver creative solutions that were both visually compelling and effective in meeting business objectives. The internship helped me bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

After completing my degree, I accepted a position as a graphic designer with Creative Services at Gardner-Webb University in 2022. In this role, I work closely with various departments within the university to create marketing materials, digital content, and branding elements that reflect the institution's values and mission. My role has allowed me to further develop my design skills while contributing to a larger community and strengthening my expertise in both print and digital media.

Personal Life

In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my girlfriend, we love going to new places, traveling for concerts, and spending time with family. I’ve been known to dabble in painting, as I was an avid artist in my younger days. While I don’t do it as much as I used to, you may still catch me painting or drawing from time to time. Another hobby I have is cooking, I’m not going to be on master chief anytime soon, but I enjoy cooking new things, trying new foods and developing my own recipes. While design is my career, I’m passionate about it beyond my 9-to-5 job. In fact, I often take on freelance design projects to continually challenge myself, refine my skills, and help local businesses enhance their branding. Working with small businesses gives me the opportunity to contribute to their growth while allowing me to experiment with different styles and design approaches.

  • I offer a comprehensive range of both print and digital design services, including but not limited to flyers, book covers, posters, brochures, logos, and complete brand development. • Design is not only my profession, but also one of my deepest passions. I take great pride in creating work that not only brings your vision to life, but also reflects my dedication to the craft. Each project is an opportunity for me to blend creativity with purpose, ensuring that the final result resonates with both your goals and my own commitment to excellence.

I am not a large corporation, and I don’t have a team of designers working with me. I am one guy with a computer. I strive to provide unmatched quality, offering personalized support and guidance throughout every stage of the design process. My aim is to deliver a product that exceeds expectations while fostering a collaborative and transparent experience from start to finish.

  • If you're looking to get started in graphic design, I'd be happy to offer guidance and support. My goal is to share the advice I wish I'd received when I was beginning my design journey. Whether you're unsure how to get started, looking for feedback on your portfolio, or simply want to chat about design, feel free to reach out! I will never charge or ask for compensation for giving any help. If a designer does that, you don’t want their help anyway. Please just pay it forward when someone reaches out for advice from you.

You can contact me via email, or message me on Instagram or LinkedIn. I'm here to help however I can, whether it's providing advice, tips, or critiques.

Please note that I currently do not have any internship or job openings available. However, if you're seeking assistance with building your portfolio or refining your resume, I'd be more than happy to help with that as well.

    Looking forward to connecting!

  • Why should I use a graphic designer?

I could give a long explanation about how graphic design serves as the backbone of marketing and advertising, but I believe the truth is simpler: good design makes things better. Have you ever clicked on an ad simply because the colors caught your eye or the images were appealing? I know I have. People are drawn to things that look good.

This isn’t just about large corporations using design to sell products with clever catchphrases or bold typography. It’s about everyone deserving good design—whether it’s a beautifully crafted wedding invitation, a stylish birthday card, a vibrant poster for a local band, or a well-designed logo for your cousin's small business. Maybe you just want a personalized poster of your child’s football pictures to hang on your wall.

Whatever it is, good design can make a difference. If you have any questions or just want to talk about how design can enhance your project.

How long until my design is ready?

The length of a project can vary depending on several factors—some may take just a week, while others could take a few months. Whether you have a clear vision or just a rough idea, I can provide a general time estimate to help you get started.

How much will my design cost?

Just as important as the design itself is the cost. Pricing is tailored to fit the specific needs of each client. I understand that design work can be a luxury for some. Because of this, I offer flexible pricing options based on the scope of your project, which take into account factors such as the time required, the number of revision rounds, and the overall goals you're aiming to achieve. I do not bill buy the hour, prices are based on the total completed work.

For more detailed information on pricing or to request a quote. Please email cameronhaglerdesign@gmail.com. I’d be happy to discuss your project and provide a personalized estimate.

    What’s your process?

There is no secret recipe for my process and I won’t keep anything in the dark. The design process is straightforward and designed to be as smooth as possible. It all starts with a simple email or phone call! Depending on the service you need, I'll send over a project form that includes a few general questions to help clarify your vision, and a section for references or inspiration to guide the design. If you don’t have any of that, it’s no problem. I will be able to help you figure it out.

After a price is agreed upon, I’ll send over a contract for you to review and sign. There may be a deposit if your project is larger. You’ll receive your first proof within 1-2 weeks of signing the contract. From there, we’ll go through rounds of revisions to make sure everything aligns with your expectations, or until you're completely satisfied with the design. Once everything is finalized, the design is all yours to use as you please!
